Harvest Moon
Harvest Moon
Star-crossed lovers come to doubt too soon
Their love blossomed, intimacy is a feast
Change moves through them, that's the nature of the beast
This season moves from trick or treat, to cosy nights in
Sip on some cocoa, in each others eyes they swim
The wind howls and shuffles clouds around the night sky
She says "I'm yours, and you're mine"
Pumpkin patches and fireplace ashes
They both hold hands, watch on, as time passes
Crunchy leaves
Autumn becomes a day light thief
Children gather at churches, in candlelit rooms
Choirs sing hymns in a graceful tune
